The treatment of geographical information from a set of values for numerical analysis is an important problem. This is because, a lot of geographical information system tools treats the information in digital formats and not in ASCII text files. In this work, a Graphic User Interface is developed using a proposed methodology to extract xy coordinates from vector data in shapefile format,to ASCII-textformat.
