Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The URL of each reference must be indicated (in particular, the DOI of each manuscript must be indicated).
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; uses italics, rather than underlining (except for URLs); and all figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements described in the guidelines for authors.
  • Papers submitted for review must be unpublished and original: They must not have been previously published in any medium (either print or electronic), nor should they be considered for publication in any other medium simultaneously. The anti-plagiarism software Ithenticate will be used to verify that the papers are not already published elsewhere.

Author Guidelines

Evaluation

The manuscripts will be evaluated under the blind peer system, which requires anonymity. The decision made by the reviewers (acceptance, acceptance, or modification) will be notified to the author within three months. If the manuscript is accepted, it must submit to the journal's style.

The authors will have the right to submit two replies to the manuscript's review. It is understood that each resubmission must answer the reviewers' questions. The sending of a new manuscript will not be taken as a reply. The editorial board and the corresponding legal instances will resolve any unforeseen situation.

Several academic evaluators conduct the review process. More than 70% of the journal's evaluators are external to the institution. If there is any controversy in evaluating an article, it may be referred to the editorial board at progmat@uaem.mx. The council's decision will be final.
